Your Citizen label printer is covered by a 2 year warranty when bought from one of Citizen Systems Europe's official agents.

This means that you can obtain service without charge for labour and parts for a period of two years from the date of invoice to yourselves assuming the fault is due to a manufacturing defect or faulty part.

This warranty covers the printer itself, but excludes some consumable items including the printhead.

The printhead is covered by a warranty as follows:

- 6 months from date of invoice OR

- 30Kms of printing in direct thermal mode

- 50Kms of printing in thermal transfer mode

...WHICHEVER comes first.

The warranty is 'return to base' which means you must arrange to ship it to the place from where you purchasd the printer (or their service centre location).

You can choose to buy an optional on-site warranty for one or two years and of course extended warranties beyond that supported directly by Citizen.
