With a print speed of up to 12 inches per second and 32-bit system architecture to provide the processing power behind the scenes, the CLP 9000 series is designed for the most challenging of applications for batch printing or on-demand labelling.

The colour-coded operator levers within the printer are designed to make media loading incredibly simple and fool-proof.

With Citizen’s own strict demands for ease-of-use and reliability in mind, the CLP 9000 series printers all feature easy media loading with a wide access printhead system.

Using the LCD control panel to make changes to the configuration is very straightforward with logically set out menus and categories to quickly adjust the printer’s operation.

With quick servicing in mind, the printhead and the media plattens can each be changed in just one minute or less!

Easy connection to the outside world is via the standard parallel and RS232C serial interfaces (up to115,200 bps) and optionally IEEE 1284 high speed parallel and Ethernet networking interface modules.

Two types of autocutter are available depending on the application - a heavy duty rotary cutter for high volume, long production runs and a high-speed guillotine cutter designed for fast cutting on high speed print runs.

For complete compatibility, the printer features an industry standard software emulation allowing easy connection to many software packages. Alternatively, Citizen’s Windows® drivers are compatible with all common software packages.

The heavy duty metal case provides durability, yet easy access to the media bays and the die-cast internal mechanism opens extremely wide for quick loading of labels and ribbons. However, the stylish case design means that the printer won’t look out of place in an office or shop as well as a warehouse or production line.

Other features and functions include a 10-inch paper roll holder as standard, media autocalibration for quicker setup when switching between different media types, flash downloadable firmware for easy upgrading and an optional factory fitted internal rewinder and peeler with peel wait sensor.

Please note that the CLP 9001R, CLP 9301 and CLP 9301R models are being discontinued. CLP 9001 'standard' model is still in production.
