Windows™ 7 drivers are still in development.
However, for Windows 7 32-bit installations, the Vista driver can be used.
If you have Windows 7 64-bit installation, you must wait until the official Windows 7 driver is ready.
Installation under Windows 7 32-bit
- Before connecting your printer, download the appropriate Windows Vista driver and UnZip or extract the driver to a suitable directory
- Connect the printer. Allow driver installation to start. Let the Windows Update 'fail' (or you can tell it to bypass Windows Update). Close this box and let the system tell you the installation didn't work.
- Click Start and RIGHT-Click on Computer. Choose "Manage" to open the Computer Manager
- Click on "Device Manager".
- In the list of devices, find the Citizen Systems CW or Olmec OP900 printer, usually under the "Other Devices" section.
- Right-click on the printer and choose "Update Driver Software"
- Choose "Browse My Computer" option. Find the folder where you extracted the Citizen Vista driver to and click OK.
- The "Windows Security" error box will appear - as it did in XP and Vista. Ignore and Install.
- When successfully installed, close the installation box.
Your driver is now correctly set up and should appear as a CW or OP900 printer in the "Devices and Printers" section. |
